Back to normal

Last Thursday night, Richie, Tseri and myself's plans to go on a videoke gimik finally pushed-through. It actually almost got cancelled again because we were all so busy, but we eventually got through a fantastic night of booze and music at Redbox. Of course, I didn't miss singing Be My Lady. ;) Also, I found out from Richie that he had already r... (by end of J...) and that he would finally be f... in early A... Hmmm...

The day after, last night, SML went out to watch Batman Begins. We had planned to watch at the Gateway Cineplex 10 to try out the 300-peso-cinema-with-lazy-boy-chairs. Since I arrived first at the scene, I had to buy tickets for everyone. Stupid me forgot to bring enough money... so after finding the cinema ticket booth (which was at the 4th floor of the Gateway Mall), I had to go down again to withdraw from the ATM. When I got back, the lines were already long (it was already ~530pm on a Friday afternoon), and unfortunately, all the tickets for the 10pm screening at the Globe Platinum Cinema were sold out, and there was only one seat available for the 7pm screening (hmmm... devil ideas pop into mind). Anyway, I had no choice but to buy ourselves instead tickets to the 9pm screening in Cinema 5 (which was one of their "normal" cinemas).

When the guys arrived around 6pm, we had 3 hours to burn and we decided to just walk around (a lot of this happened that night) and have snacks at Taco Bell (supposedly the only branch in the Philippines), and eventually dinner at the Gateway Food Court.

When the movie started, I instantly recognized that this was not going to be a "normal" batman movie. Except for a few minor exceptions (the usual late ppl, and a couple of noisy kids -- who brings their kids to a late Friday movie anyway?), the movie was awesome.

After the movie, we had coffee at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf downstairs, had the usual discussions (with constant queries at Ryan, the resident Batman addict), and went home around 1am.

Nice to be back to normal.
