Thanks for all the fish

Lots of things have happened since my last post. On Father's Day (June 19) the whole family went to Glorietta to watch Mr. & Mrs. Smith. The movie didn't disappoint, Brad Pitt was funny, and Angeline Jolie was, well, jolie (pretty). :) We had lunch at Kenny Roger's Roasters, which we haven't done in quite a while.

Last Friday, after another failed attempt to go swimming (there was a function right on the Pearl Manila pool side), Sid and I went to watch The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. On the way to Robinson's Place Manila, we bumped across Whena, who treated us to coffee at Frio Mixx. Of course, we agreed, even if it meant that we were going to miss the beginning of the movie. Who turns down free coffee anyway? ;) After coffee, we asked Tom to join us on the movie... he agreed and told us Ed was coming with him. They wanted to watch the movie from the beginning, so it meant that we would have to wait until 6pm... and voila, Sid and I seized the opportunity for some arcade time! Well, actually, the arcade time got turned into PS2 time, which actually meant GT3 ass-spanking time. Hehe. After GT3, we finally watched the movie (Tom was asleep almost the entire movie), which was, well, uniquely entertaining. Don't get me wrong, I loved the film, it's just that most people would probably not "get it", and immediately drop it as "corny". I think it's because it has both extreme types of comedy -- the slapstick type (still can't forget the desert scene, hehehe) and the what i call "genius-comedy", where you have to think first before you actually get the joke (hehe). Anyways, after the movie we had dinner at Mr. Choi's Kitchen, a new restaurant in RP, on the old Carl's Jr. spot. Food was a bit too pricy, though it was very good.

The past week also contained my formal induction into the "Naruto addicts' club". ;) Rock Lee rocks! Hehe. I was averaging around 7 episodes a night, and there was even one time when I watched 11 straight! Status update: Right before writing this blog entry, I just watched episode 84.

Finally, the last (but most certainly not the least) event this past week was lunch last Wednesday. We ate at Wan Chai. Wala lang. ;)
