I know what you did last December...

Most blogs will have the usual "what-i-did-during-the-holidays" posts this week. Here's mine... :)

Dec 21 (Wed)... Beej and I had planned to go straight home to Malabon after office because we had lots of gifts to wrap. Unfortunately, we got stuck in a horrendous Pier-area traffic jam and it took us around 3 hours (I think) to get home. And when we did arrive, Beej's mom needed lots of help with housework and cooking and stuff, so to make a long story short, I had to take the giftwrapping task home. (This is my way of apologizing to those who received badly-wrapped gifts from us during Christmas, hehe.)

Dec 22 (Thu)... Dinner with SML+. Yes, there's one plus sign there, because Richie (who went home for the holidays) and Malis were there too. :) We ate at Outback Steakhouse Libis (after a pre-dinner visit at the bazaars at Eastwood), and had coffee at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf @ Eastwood. I'll say only one thing: Thanks to the author of The Purpose-Driven Life, whoever you are. ;)



Dec 23 (Fri)... We went home really late (or really early) the night (or day) before, so I took the morning off from work, and went straight to the WPRO gang lunchout at Precy's place. We ate take out from the Dampa-like resto in Macapagal Road, plus Beej's mom's leche flan for dessert. Bentang-benta! (Mukhang makakabenta kami ng marami nito next year, hehe.). Later that night, after failed attempts at Cafe Breton and Wok In, Beej and I had dinner at Tapa King (yes, Tapa King) near the CCP/Manila Yacht Club area, then we had coffee at Mocha Blends. Afterwards, there was a power outage (aka brownout). ;)



Dec 24 (Sat)... I stayed home to "help" with Christmas Day preparations, and later in the afternoon, was the designated driver to the wake of our apartment landlord's father in Funeraria Paz in Araneta Avenue. RIP. Sana wag nyo po kami multuhin...

Dec 25 (Sun)... We went to Cavite (as usual), and I gained a couple of (NOT a few) pounds in the process (as usual). Nuff said.

Dec 26 (Mon)... After Kobe's Lakers lost to Shaq's Heat, I attended "Alexa's introduction to the friends of the Lee family" at Malabon. A couple of family friends went to Malabon for lunch (more chicken galantina!), and we all got to meet Nicole and Alexa. Later in the afternoon, Beej and I were assigned babysitters to Alexa while her parents went shopping for groceries. More practice! ;)



Dec 27 (Tue)... Busy happy day. New Manila, Insurance, Shaw Boulevard, Dentist, Megamall, Coleman, North Face, Nalgene, Cream Puff, Foosball, Battle Gear 3, Insert-a-token-to-get-more-tokens-arcade-game, Pollo Loco, Heavy Rains, Floods, Brakes. Did I miss something? ;)

Dec 28 (Wed)... Meet the Fockers Part Deux. It was basically an eat-all-the-grilled-stuff-you-can, along with a movie marathon of The Incredibles and Into The Blue. ;)

Dec 29 (Thu)... OFT Day 1. BPI, Figaro, McDo, Ukay2, "Spa", More Ukay2, *$, Yellow Cab, 7-11.

Dec 30 (Fri)... OFT Day 2. Pancake House, "Chips", Colette's, PSI Factory Outlet, Hotshots, *$, Fireworks @ Blue Wave (dapat, pero di natuloy... :-( ).

Dec 31 (Sat)... I basically slept through the daytime so that I could be awake when the clock strikes 12. Then, I went back to sleep. ;) Seriously, we had the usual inuman/videoke/kainan of the Bayutas *clan* at our place. Too bad my baby wasn't beside me during the new year countdown... :( Maybe next year... nuninu.



Jan 01 (Sun)... Lunch @ Cainta and Dinner @ Vista Verde. Another busy happy day. Lots of eating and stories with the Lee family, and a little bit of driving, Bounce Out, Text Twist, and Alexa here and there. :) A great conclusion to a great holiday.



Jan 02 (Mon)... Rest day before returning to reality... I had hoped. Instead, we went to Harrison Plaza to buy Mama her Christmas/New Year/Birthday(?) gift. ;) Then we had sausage-stuffed-family-size-super-supreme-pizza. Pede na rin. ;)
