X 3

Due to recent events, Beej and I haven't gone out in quite a while, so we just reserved this day without any idea where we would be going. It turned out to be a very easy decision as we were both curious to go to the third largest mall in the world -- SM Mall of Asia. And Beej had a surprise for me -- it was going to be my birthday celebration. :) Three weeks overdue, but hey I'm not complaining to free dinner. :)
A date day wouldn't be complete without a movie so we first headed off to the cinema ticket booths. Damn! Mall of Asia is huge! I felt like we already traversed SM Megamall just to get there. After purchasing tickets at the "Premiere Cinema", we went off to search for a place to have dinner. Damn! Mall of Asia is huge! Old food favorites are all there -- Plato Platina, Burgoo, Halfmoon, Holy Kettle, etc. -- but we ended up experimenting on Cafe Mediterranean. We had grilled chicken kebab (reminded us of something we had two years ago, nuninu) with pita, and spaghettini alle olive nere (which was too bland for us, so we just took it home). We also tried all sorts of weird-sounding, um, food to satisfy our curiousity like kofta, baba ghanoush and hummus. Hehe.
After dinner, we were off to X-Men 3: The Last Stand. The movie was excellent for a third installment. However, the moviehouse sucked. It was too hot for me, and the audio chopped every 30 minutes or something (like you were watching a pirated DVD). I just hope they have better facilities on the six 'normal' moviehouses, or else, no one would come to watch there after maybe a month.
After waiting for the 'secret' scene at the end of the movie, we headed for Bo's Coffee for some caffeine injection. Their ice-blended coffees are too sweet. :( Or maybe we're just already used to having fraps. ;) Afterwards it's back to the carpark (Damn! Mall of Asia is huge!) and straight home.
Mall Day 2 (Saturday - SM Mall of Asia, with family)
Back home, apparently, people were also curious about the-large-mall-by-the-bay. So after a Lindsey errand at Banawe (bought various suspension and clutch parts - ka-ching!), Papa and I fetched Mama and Karlo from home, and we did our monthly grocery at the SM Hypermarket at the MoA. Damn! Mall of Asia is huge! Well, at least they had One One in stock. :)
Mall Day 3 (Sunday - SM Megamall, with Beej)
After the final gown fitting at far-away Pasig, myself and Beej, along with Skater Cors went to Megamall for clothing preps for Dioven's wedding. We first had lunch at Cors' favorite KFC (hehe), and after parting ways (she was off to the rink), Beej and I started our hunt. Seven super polvorons and five hours later, I got a new long-sleeve polo, black leather shoes, a pencil case for Sophie, and a gift for my inaanak Bryan. Beej found out that there were no silver shoes for her in Megamall. ;) Dinner was at JT's Manukan (with take home bibingka), before one final errand at Lola Ying's and finally, home sweet home.
Mallrats.
