Catch up while you can
I was so happy to fetch my baby from the airport last Friday. Beej was supposed to come back on a one-week work-related trip to Cebu, Bohol & Negros Saturday, but luckily (dahil magaling sya ;-) ), she finished one day early. After fetching her from the airport, we went straight to Blue Wave, had dinner at Plato Platina (our favorite, Carlitos pizza), and dessert at Ice Monster. We had a lot of catching up to do. ;)
During her duty travel, Beej took with her an old cellphone, and left me her XDA because it... sucks. Hehe. Anyway, I spent late nights with the expensive PDA phone putting up high scores in Bounce Out. Unfortunately, right after she went home, we immediately took the XDA to the repair shop, where they did a hard reset. Awww. Sayang yung mga high-scores ko. :( Hay talaga...
On the same day, we decided to catch a screening of Lake House (aka Il Mare in English) at Gateway. I had really low expectations with the film, since I really loved the original (surprise surprise... time movie). However, I genuinely liked this one, just as much. Maybe it's the chemistry between Keanu & Sandra Bullock (btw, there was no 'whoa' during the whole movie); maybe it's the better editing (there's better fade in/fade out & overlap this time, since it's a hollywood movie); maybe it was the 'easier to understand' ending (compared to Il Mare); or maybe it was the company. ;)
The following Monday just as we were to leave the office, there was a HUGE downpour of rain. Since Malabon + rain = flooded streets everywhere (I hate rain! Mwehehe...), Beej and I decided to do our long-overdue wallet replacements at (where else) MoA. Well, what do you expect from fake Girbauds bought at 168? ;) Dinner was at KKK. Their "toyo-less" adobo was delicious... though I think the price was a little more expensive than I expected (it's frustrating when they place VAT-exclusive prices on menus...). Thank God the downpour was gone when we went home. No rain = no floods = happy Benj. ;)
