McWeekend

All this watching of Grey's Anatomy has changed my perspective on doctors, nurses, and everyone else in the field of medicine. Sort of like when I was addicted to CSI, I wanted to jump careers from IT to forensics. This time, I was willing to get past my "dislike" of biology just to become an intern doctor. ;)

Last Saturday, I accompanied Beej to Healthway clinic for a check-up of her tonsilitis. Like in any other hospital or clinic in Manila, the doctor was more than an hour late. I passed time by giving Beej some teasers on future storylines in the TV show. Back then, she had just watched episode 2 of season 2. Looks like my stories were effective -- by yesterday afternoon, she had already finished episode 15. ;)

Since Beej wasn't feeling well, I alone proceeded to the get-together at Sid & Liza's place. Along with Rom & Riselle, we caught up with "Party Boy" Tom, who just came back from Florida, and "Ketchup King" Joseph who was from Canada. After several XDA videos, iPod tracks, beer bottles, nachos, lechon manok, and "gathered information" later, we finally went home... at 5am. I felt like an intern who had just gone home from a 48-hour shift. ;)

A few hours later, yesterday morning, we drove to Cavite to pay Sophie, Kuya Ching, et al, a visit. Oh, and we picked up our pasalubongs from Tita Lou's balikbayan box. Hehe. After lunch, we had a great time playing Guesstures, like kids. :) Kuya Ching & I beat two teams -- Karlo & Tito RC, and Mama & Ate Carol. :) I remember Meredith saying this in one episode -- "People don't really grow up. We just grow taller." Seriously. ;)
