B for Bandidas

This past holy week, I did what most people do during Lent -- watch a lot of TV and movies, hehehe. ;)

CSI 618 - The Unusual Suspect -- My favorite CSI episodes are those when they don't finish the case on a 'slam dunk', or even better, when the killer/s (in this case, a 12-year old genius) outwit the CSI gang and get away with murder -- which was the case in this episode. Loved the ending. :)

Desperate Housewives 218 - Everybody Says Don't -- Actually my 'fondness' for this show declined a lot when season 2 started. With the original plot regarding the mystery surrounding Mary Alice's death already out in the open, there wasn't as much 'fire' in the show anymore (in fact, I don't understand why Mary Alice continues to narrate in the show). The only thing that's left to watch is Tony Parker's girl - the beautiful Eva Longoria. ;)

My Name Is Earl 121 - The Bounty Hunter -- This is my new 'favorite' show -- about a guy who has a 'karmic epiphany' - and tries to turn his life around. Oh, and it stars Jaime Pressly. ;)





Naruto 1XX -- Been having a hard time forcing myself to watch Naruto, ever since the stupid filler episodes began (WHEN WILL THEY END???). Most probably, I'll just download these episodes for completion, and just continue watching once they return to the real storyline.

South Park 1004 - Cartoon Wars, part 2 -- South Park is back! With a vengeance! Hahahahaha.... :)

Survivor 1210 - Fight For Your Life or Eat -- Now the good part begins. Every fan of the show knows that the real game of Survivor actually begins after the merge. Right now, they are down to seven survivors (6 former Casaya members, plus 'Captain America' Terry), and one of them (Terry) has the potential to be the most dominating survivor ever -- if he can sustain his winning streak.

The Amazing Race 908 -- After a scary 200-foot bungee jump in the Corinth Canal in Greece, I got even more scared because my team (the hippies, BJ & Tyler) almost got eliminated. Props to the old couple, Fran & Barry, for staying this long. You're next. Haha.

Alex & Emma -- Borrowed Beej's DVD and watched it last Saturday. Very predictable story, but it was a nice movie anyways. I wish it didn't have a happy ending though. But then again, as Beej said, it wouldn't be a date movie if it didn't. ;-)

Ice Age: The Meltdown -- Watched it with Beej in Market Market last last Friday. Honestly, I didn't like the first movie at all. I didn't think it was that funny (although I DID watch that at home, in my pc, alone... sad. hehe.). This one was different though. There were times when I was the only one laughing in the moviehouse... and I was still laughing even after the joke had ended. ;)

Bandidas -- Watched it with Beej at Robinson's Galleria yesterday. The usual western american/mexican movie that has a storyline very much similar to Filipino action movies -- it's all about revenge, the hero/s always hit their targets but the villains don't, etc. (read Bob Ong's book for the complete list) -- but it was a VERY fun movie anyway. Who would decline to watching Penelope Cruz and Salma Hayek... in the same movie? ;)
